I’m not going to say “view from the top” because, let’s be honest here, we’re not hikers. Or outdoorsy people at all. I suppose we’ll have to make that happen if we’re going to live in one of the greenest cities in the country. Until then, though, I’m going to continue to get all girly when I get dirt under my fingernails or scuff up my shoes.
To be fair, this is actually a picture from one of Hubby’s Seattle offices, so it isn’t really an advertisement for Portland. It sure is, though, an advertisement for the pacific northwest, because when he sent this to me with the caption “the view from my office”, I felt my heart stop. Literally, I think. I want to be there. I felt this rush of urgency that was unlike anything I’ve ever really felt before. I felt, all at once, like I was MEANT to be there. Whether it’s a permanent phase for us or not is irrelevant, but for right now, I really feel like we are headed exactly where we’re supposed to be. Now, if only we could get there.
In other unrelated, uninspired news, I made Mickey Mouse pancakes for the girls this morning. If I’d known that was all I had to do in order to get the title of the “Best Mom Ever”, we’d be having pancakes three meals a day.
Happy Friday, everyone!
